As testimonies to the generosity of God’s love in answer to prayers offered through our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, the Association receives thousands of letters. In that spirit of gratitude to God, the Association publishes edited sections of some letters.

My prayers were heard.
I prayed to Our Blessed Mother for her intercession regarding some lab results. After seeing a documentary about the Miraculous Medal, I began to pray for healing. The day before I received my lab results, I received a Miraculous Medal in the mail. I knew my prayers were being heard. The following day, I received a call from the doctor’s office with the news that my results were normal. I know it was through the intercession of Our Lady and the Miraculous Medal that I was healed.

Several years ago, in 1998, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had worn a Miraculous Medal off and on for many years. I promised Our Lady that if she got me through the lumpectomy and radiation treatments, I would wear my medal every day. I am grateful that my prayers were answered. I have been wearing my Miraculous Medal since my diagnosis with breast cancer. It is my witness to the power of Our Blessed Mary’s intercession.

Mother Mary is working through prayer for us!
I am writing this letter in thanksgiving to Our Blessed Mother and her divine Son, Jesus, for answering my prayer and for the miracles for my family and myself. Over the past five years, we have suffered illness, drugs and alcohol, divorce, loss of our home through a fire, financial issues, and just about every evil that could come against one family. I began praying to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal and I gave each member of the family a Miraculous Medal to wear. I cannot begin to tell you how Mother Mary is working through prayer for us. When I mention miracles, I mean exactly that! My son has been completely healed from all drug and alcohol addictions. Healings of spirit, body, emotions and finances, are happening constantly. Only prayer could have brought about the many blessings that have touched us. I know now why we are told, “To Jesus through Mary.” If there is any way to help the hurting or hopeless, I pray my message will reach them. I also pray the holy Rosary each day and have found wonderful peace. I could go on and on because God’s blessings are endless. For anyone who is about to give up, I want to say, keep on praying to Our Blessed Lady because your miracle is just around the next prayer./

Several years ago, I found a Miraculous Medal. I always had the feeling that the medal was deemed to be for someone else. I carried it with me always. It wasn’t long before the answer to my question became clear. A co-worker was heading to Afghanistan. I asked Our Blessed Mother if it would be alright to give the person the Miraculous Medal I found. The urge to give her the medal was so overwhelming, so I did. She was very appreciative, and seemed on the verge of tears. I knew it would serve her well and would keep her well protected in a very hostile place. Thank you, Blessed Mother, for your nudge.

Our Blessed Virgin Mary interceded for us!
Several years ago, my son was very ill with pneumonia and congestive heart failure. He was hospitalized, but his condition was getting worse. My family and prayer partners prayed for Our Holy Mother’s intercession. Twenty-four hours later, my son made a miraculous recovery. The doctors monitored him for several more days before he was finally discharged from the hospital. I firmly believe that Our Blessed Virgin Mary interceded for us and that God healed our son.

This is a true miracle from God!
I have been praying for my co-worker’s 18- year-old son who was diagnosed with stomach cancer. He underwent three months of extensive chemotherapy to prepare him for surgery. At a doctor’s appointment to discuss treatment options, the doctors told the family that there was no more tumor and that the young man didn’t need surgery or further treatment. This is a true miracle from God through the intercessory prayers to Our Blessed Mother. Thank you for all your prayers to Mother Mary.

I would like to thank Our Blessed Mother for protecting me from serious injury when I was struck by a car as I crossed the road. Luckily, the driver of the car who hit me did not abandon me. He took me to the emergency room of a nearby hospital. For me, it’s a miracle that I didn’t sustain any serious injuries. Although I am still recuperating, I have been able to go back to work. Thank you Lord! Thank you, Mother Mary, for your protection.

Prayer to Our Lady for Healing
Mary Immaculate, you have given yourself to us as Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. You have asked us to pray with confidence, and we will receive great graces. We know your compassion, because you saw your Son suffer and die for us. In your union with His suffering, you became the mother of us all.
Mary, my mother, teach me to understand my suffering as you do and to endure it in union with the suffering of Jesus. In your motherly love, calm my fears and increase my trust in God’s loving care.
According to God’s plan, obtain for me the healing I need. Intercede with your Son that I may have the strength I need to work for God’s glory and the salvation of the world.
