A Look at This Year’s May Procession

On Sunday, May 3, hundreds of visitors from far and near gathered in prayer at the National Shrine to honor Our Blessed Mother during the annual May Procession.

Father Clay Kilburn led the procession from the Shrine Church to Mary’s grotto, where a floral wreath was presented to Mary. The wreath was made from thousands of silk roses representing the petitions received from members of the Association of the Miraculous Medal.

Member intentions will be remembered throughout the remainder of May.

“O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.”
