Celebrate Our Lady’s Birthday
September 8 marks the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The date is fixed exactly nine months after the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception. AMM continues its tradition to honor Mary’s birth with an octave of prayer beginning that Tuesday. Our observance runs through the September 12 feast of the Holy Name of Mary and concludes September 15, the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows.
You are invited to entrust your intentions to the Mother of God. Mary delights in this sign of your faith. You may send petitions for yourself or a loved one or simply express your gratitude for blessings already received. Our spiritual Mother cares for each of us with constant, tender affection. Burning a Votive Light in Our Lady’s honor is an especially fitting gift to the Immaculate Mother of Our Lord. Read Fr. Clay’s letter to learn more about this year’s commemoration.
