As testimonies to the generosity of God’s love in answer to prayers offered through our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, the Association receives thousands of letters. In that spirit of gratitude to God, the Association publishes edited sections of some letters.

Thank you, Holy Moher, for hearing my prayers!
My son had never been on a plane before and was never at an airport. He was very nervous about traveling. He had to travel to Chicago for an internship. I put a Miraculous Medal in his carry-on and asked the Blessed Mother to get him back and forth safely. There was very bad weather both ways. He arrived safely at the hotel ahead of the tornadoes with no delays. On his return home, his flight took off with no problem and arrived safely at LaGuardia. After his flight took off, all other flights were canceled until the following morning. Thank you, Holy Mother, for hearing my prayers and bringing them to your Son, Jesus, for a happy outcome.

I had been praying a novena to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal on behalf of a friend. Mary, Our Mother, came through! She truly intervened. My friend’s trouble has been resolved. Praise God and thanks to Mary, our wonderful Mother.

I have prayed earnestly for my daughter-in-law, who has suffered emotionally, financially, and physically after my son left her. She lost her home, and her job, and her car needed costly repairs. I enrolled her in the Association of the Miraculous Medal and have prayed for Our Blessed Mother’s intercession on her behalf. Recently she found employment that she loves, and a kind mechanic has restored her car to working condition. Thank you, Blessed Virgin, for interceding.

Eight years ago, my son had developed atrial fibrillation. We asked the Association of the Miraculous Medal to pray for his recovery. Although he is not healed, the doctors, after many tests, have removed him from a dangerous medication that could cause death. Thank you, for your prayers, for him all these years. We are so happy that he has this blessing in his life!

I want to share with you a story about Our Blessed Mother’s intercession and my devotion to her. My mother had suffered a miscarriage and was told she was getting too old to carry an infant to term. She prayed to Our Blessed Mother for a successful pregnancy. I am the result of those prayers! My parents gave me the middle name of Maria. I grew up wearing a Miraculous Medal. I am grateful to Our Lady for her intercession.

My devotion to Our Lady will be forever! Many years ago, I visited the Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine in France and brought back some Lourdes water. When my maid’s daughter was three, she developed a growth in her armpit. I prayed to Our Lady and rubbed some Lourdes water on the growth. To our surprise, the growth disappeared. This girl is now an adult and happily married. She hasn’t forgotten that it was through Our Lady’s intercession with her Son, Jesus, that she was cured.

I asked you and your staff to pray for my friend who has cancer. Her tumor reduced in size by 20 percent. Later, there was even more reduction. The doctor said in all the years he had been treating this type of cancer, he had seen this happen only one other time. This is definitely the work of Our Lord and his Blessed Mother. Some time ago, I asked the Association to pray for my son, a very hardworking man with a college degree and a great job in the music industry. Unfortunately, he became hooked on drugs and had trouble dealing with from the pressures of the industry. I know that prayers work, because he is doing so much better. He has a different career now. I am so thankful for your prayers for my son, and that Our Lady has truly interceded on his behalf.

Prayer to Our Lady for Healing
Mary Immaculate, you have given yourself to us as Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. You have asked us to pray with confidence, and we will receive great graces. We know your compassion, because you saw your Son suffer and die for us. In your union with His suffering, you became the mother of us all.
Mary, my mother, teach me to understand my suffering as you do and to endure it in union with the suffering of Jesus. In your motherly love, calm my fears and increase my trust in God’s loving care.
According to God’s plan, obtain for me the healing I need. Intercede with your Son that I may have the strength I need to work for God’s glory and the salvation of the world.
